Extract PDF pages
Extract PDF pages in your browser. Select pages or type a range such as 1-3, 5, 7-9, then save them as one PDF or as a separate PDF for each page. Processing stays on your device.
Files are processed locally in your browser.
For this tool, your files never leave your device. We don’t upload your documents to a server.
Page ranges
Type commas and hyphens, then click Apply range. Example: 1-3, 5, 7-9 keeps pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9.
A range written backwards, such as 5-1, is treated as pages 1 through 5. Page numbers outside the document are rejected.
One PDF vs separate PDFs
Extract selected pages puts every chosen page into a single PDF, named after the file you opened.
Split into separate PDFs saves each selected page as its own PDF. One page downloads under that name; two or more download as a zip with the same name, and each file inside includes the page number.
Download order follows page numbers, not the order you clicked. The PDF must be 75 MB or smaller and have at most 200 pages.
How to use this tool
- Choose one PDF. Drop a PDF into the box or choose it from your device. Only one file can be open at a time.
- Select the pages. Click page numbers, or type a range such as 1-3, 5, 7-9 and click Apply range. Select all marks every page. Clear removes the selection.
- Choose the output. One PDF keeps every selected page in a file named after the PDF you opened. One PDF per page saves each selected page as its own file: a single page downloads under that same name, and more than one downloads as a zip with that name.
- Extract or split. Click Extract selected pages, or Split into separate PDFs. The button stays off until at least one page is selected.
- Download. Save the PDF or zip. It uses the name of the file you opened. Pages inside a zip add the page number. The PDF you opened is left unchanged.
Supported formats
- Input
- One PDF file (.pdf).
- Output
- Either one PDF named after the file you opened, or one PDF per selected page. Several separate pages download as a zip with that same name, and each file inside it includes the page number. Pages are ordered from lowest number to highest.
Limitations
- One PDF puts every selected page into a single file named after the PDF you opened. One PDF per page keeps those pages as separate files.
- Page order in the download follows page numbers, not the order in which you clicked the pages.
- A range written backwards, such as 5-1, is treated as pages 1 through 5. Pages outside the document are rejected.
- Only one PDF can be open. Remove it before choosing another file.
- Password-protected and encrypted PDFs cannot be opened.
- The PDF must be 75 MB or smaller and have at most 200 pages.
